WHAT ABOUT THE COSTS?
Returning to study will have financial implications and the Adult Guidance Team (adultadvice@cornwall.ac.uk) can answer any questions relating to fees and financial support available to you whilst studying (such as grants, loans and benefit entitlements).
Course fees
Fees vary depending on the length of a course and whether or not you qualify for concessions and/or financial support. Find out more about finance and funding (19+ years old) here
Materials: Any materials, books, photocopying etc. are additional to the course fee and are not provided free of charge. In some circumstances materials may be purchased at the campus by arrangement with the tutor and on certain courses there is a mandatory fee.
Exams: Students are responsible for their own examination entries and fees. They should make their entries through the relevant Examination Office. Fees for examinations are not included in the course fees. Examination Office staff will be pleased to help you choose the correct location and time of your examination. Contact the site you would like to attend and ask to speak to the examination officer.
Refunds
If a course does not start or is closed because of insufficient numbers, any payments already made will be refunded. We are only able to refund fees on receipt of a doctor’s letter to say that the student is unfit to continue the course. Fees will only be refunded if notification is given at least 3 working days prior to the commencement of the course. The refund will be pro-rata and an administration charge will be deducted at £2.00 or 10% whichever is greater. Claims must be made BEFORE the end of the course.
Course closure and admission
The campus sites reserve the right to:
- Close any course for which there is insufficient enrolment
- Withdraw or amend any course details advertised on this site
