Cornwall College helping students reach for the Stars!

Excitement is building in Cornwall ahead of the first ever space launch from the UK.

Cornwall College is particularly excited to be a part of STEM Learning – a network of organizations dedicated to supporting science, technology, engineering, and math education in the UK.

As a member of STEM Learning, Cornwall College has been collaborating with schools and other educational institutions across Cornwall, providing students with access to a range of space-themed resources and activities.

STEM Learning and the ENTHUSE Charitable Trust have partnered with Spaceport Cornwall to launch the Spaceport Cornwall ENTHUSE Partnership, an exciting opportunity for schools across Cornwall.

Vice Principal of Quality of Education for The Cornwall College Group, Rory Mason, says this is an exciting time for local students: “One of the exciting initiatives that Cornwall College is involved in is Spaceport Cornwall, as part of this project, hundreds of students will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on, space-related learning experiences, helping to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.”

Head of Cornwall College Camborne, Luke Bazeley says: “We are thrilled to be a part of STEM Learning and to have the opportunity to work with Spaceport Cornwall, space exploration is an exciting and rapidly-growing field, and we are committed to providing our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in this industry.”
