NEBOSH General Certificate

Course information

This Level 3 NEBOSH General Certificate course is ideal for those working in management, supervision, or anybody with health and safety responsibilities and is a perfect course for those wanting to embark upon a career in Health and Safety.

Course Duration
We offer this course over 10 days as a classroom based delivery, plus a 1:1 revision session prior to taking an online open-book examination (OBE).

In addition to classroom-based study, delegates will be expected to undertake approximately 60 hours private study time.

Unit NG1 - management of health and safety

• E1- Why we should manage workplace health and safety?
• E2 - How health and safety management systems work and what they look like
• E3 - Managing risk - understanding people and processes
• E4 - Health and safety monitoring and measurement


Unit NG2 - Risk Assessment

• E5 - Physical and psychological health
• E6 - Musculoskeletal health
• E7 - Chemical and biological agents
• E8 - General workplace issues
• E9 - Work equipment
• E10 - Fire
• E11 - Electricity


Professional Membership
Holders of the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety qualification meet the academic requirements for Technical membership of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (Tech IOSH) and Associate membership of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (AIIRSM).

Assessment

Delegates will be assessed through an online open-book examination (OBE) set by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) and a practical risk assessment project (NG2).

Successful delegates will be awarded with the nationally and internationally recognised National General Certificate qualification.
