English Language GCSE (Evening)

GCSE English Language is a very important qualification for your future employment and progression. Most employers and universities still require you to have a Grade 5 or above in GCSE English Language to apply for a place.

What you will learn

A wide range of extracts from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, including literature and literary non-fiction.

Entry requirements

There are no formal qualifications or experience necessary to gain entry onto this course. However at interview you will undertake an initial assessment to ensure you are working at the required level, if not you will be offered a Functional Skills course at the appropriate level. Functional Skills is a nationally recognised stepping stone qualification to GCSE study. You will need a high degree of self-motivation and dedication to attend weekly lessons and complete homework set.
