Roofing Apprenticeship

The Level 2 Apprenticeship in Roofing has been designed and developed by industry experts to cover a range of core skills and roofing activities.

Dependent upon the Occupational Specialism that you follow, you will learn a range of new skills such the following:

The installation of plain tiles, interlocking tiles, natural and fibre-cement slates.

Fitting of underlay, battens, lead flashings, roof windows and components.

The installation of verges, hips, ridges and valleys, substrates and membranes.

What you will learn

The apprenticeship will support you in learning about methods of roof construction, as well as all of the components that are linked, as detailed above.

Aside of this you will be supported with core behaviours such as team work, working independently, logical thinking and application, working effectively and time management.

Entry requirements

GCSE English and Maths at Grade 2 or above

Assessment

Centre-devised assessment (internal practical assessment)
