Course information

An exciting opportunity to study aerospace & aviation engineering at Foundation Level 2 in readiness for progression onto Level 3 or an apprenticeship in the Aerospace/Aviation industry.

Learners will develop basic airframe repair techniques and hand fitting skills, an introduction in to human factors (managing risk in the Aero engineering environment)

Entry requirements for external applicants and school leavers
• Three or more GCSEs at Grade 3 or above, or successful completion of a relevant Level 1 qualification.

Entry requirements for existing learners with the Cornwall College Group
• Successful completion of previous course and, where relevant, progress in maths and/or English.

A minimum of GCSE Maths & English at grade 5 (a grade 5 in a science-based subject would also be beneficial)

Opportunities will exist to potentially gain work experience with local Aero Engineering employers, including industry visits as part of the curriculum plan.

Learners will be assessed through practical tasks and classroom based assignments.

Level 3 and or Apprenticeship (subject to Individual's application and successful selection)
