Colleges in Devon and Cornwall pay tribute on Remembrance Day
As part of Remembrance Day, staff and students from The Cornwall College Group paid tribute to the sacrifices of serving personnel, both past and present.
A poignant two-minute silence was held at 11am on Monday, 11th November, across all campuses, including Cornwall College St Austell and Camborne, Falmouth Marine School, Duchy College Rosewarne and Stoke Climsland, Bicton College, Plymouth Engineering Skills Centre and the University Centres at Newquay and the Eden Project.
Colleges stood in silence on Armistice Day to remember past and present service personnel.
At Duchy College Stoke Climsland, Military and Protective Service students held a heartfelt service of remembrance in the presence of members from the local community.
The students diligently carried out their duties to mark Armistice Day.
Following the service, students at Duchy College Stoke Climsland organised their annual charity “Poppy Run” to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.
