Course information

Cooking Outdoors Courses This workshop is for those wishing to learn about cooking healthy meals outdoors.

If you are planning on moving or travelling abroad to hot countries where outdoor cooking is a must, then why not learn about the best foods, methods and the healthiest ways to cook?

There is a fee of £30 to cover ingredients and teaching materials.

You will learn styles, methods and types of foods, followed by a demonstration taking you through the basics of outdoor cooking.

Week 1: Highlighting the quality point to look for when cooking outdoors while you cook and eat Cornish ribeye steak, corn on the cob, roasted pepper and portabella salad.

Week 2: Harnessing these outdoor cooking skills as you cook up a feast of marinated chicken, roasted potato, butternut and red onion on the BBQ. You will create your own delicious meal with the guidance of our experienced chef.

This course will leave you motivated to recreate and experiment at home with your family members, helping to build relationships and improve their cooking skills, while gaining knowledge of types of outdoor meals and their nutritional values.

Learners will be assessed through observation and oral questioning.

If you enjoy the experience and want to study further then the progression route would be to enrol onto our Level 2 Professional Cookery course.
