Course information

This course introduces students to the art of sculpting with metal, utilising basic welding techniques and sheet metal fabrication skills. No previous experience necessary – just your willingness to explore new skills and your imagination! The course will be evening run, 1 evening a week for 5 weeks.

A course fee of £200 will apply to cover the cost of materials used.

Students will learn how to safely setup and operate welding equipment, to weld horizontal and vertical joints. To cut, deburr and join metal, metal folding techniques using various shaping tools, planning projects and tweaking to endorse a more artistic perception - all with the final aim of producing a sculpture of their own design.

No previous welding experience necessary.
