Course information

This course enables study to take place whilst in the workplace as a member of staff or volunteer.

On completion it will provide you with a Level 2 qualification in working with children and young people from the age of 0 to 6.11 years in a supporting role.

You will cover a range of interesting topics including:

Child development
Play
Health and safety
Safeguarding
Creativity and personal development.

The ability to cope with the knowledge requirements of the course at Level 2 and the opportunity to generate evidence of competence in the workplace with good level of literacy and numeracy.

Your work placement needs to be within settings for children and young people.
