Preparing for Employment

The Preparing for Employment course is for learners who wish to gain employability skills and experience to support them to progress into employment.

On this course, you will carry out a work placement as well as group community projects and learn valuable employability skills. Maths and English will also be part of your study programme.

What you will learn

Within this pathway you will focus on developing your employability skills within the workplace ready for employment. The aim is to help you to gain paid employment by developing valuable skills, building confidence, and demonstrating your abilities in the workplace

Entry requirements

No entry requirements but you should be aiming to seek employment following this course.

Work experience

Work experience is a key part of the Preparing for Employment course which you will be supported to obtain prior to the course starting.

Assessment

Your assessment and progress will be based on an individually tailored non-accredited employability programme.

This will focus on individual employability based targets and goals which are linked to outcomes related to your career goals and aspirations.

Progression

On successful completion of this course, you may to progress to voluntary or paid employment
