Course information

Customer Service for Health and Social Care Settings This qualification provides the knowledge and skills required by employers to work in a range of different environments in a customer service role. You will be able to develop essential knowledge of how to carry out customer service related tasks such as how to manage information and support events. Once you have completed the qualification you will be able to apply your knowledge in a variety of industries and job roles.

• Unit 1: Principles of customer service and delivery
• Unit 2: Understand customers
• Unit 3: Understand employer organisations
• Unit 4: Understand how to communicate with customers
• Unit 5: Understand how to handle customer information
• Unit 6: Understand how to resolve problems and deliver customer service to challenging customers
• Unit 7: Understand how to develop customer relationships

Aged 19+ at the beginning of the academic year and will need to have the right to study in the UK and been a resident for a minimum of 3 years.

The qualification is assessed by internally set and marked assessments subject to external quality assurance. Where indicated in the unit specifications, assessment must meet the requirements of the identified assessment strategy/principles. Materials for internal assessment must be submitted to The Equal Platform for approval prior to use and must be mapped to the relevant unit, learning outcome and assessment criteria. All learning outcomes must be met to achieve a Pass – there is no grading.
