Cornwall College St Austell
Open Event & Taster at St Austell Campus
- 8 May 2025
Project Search is a 5 day a week provision which allows young adults with an EHCP to have a work placement at Cornwall Council for 4 days a week and attend College for 1 day a week. The time on work placement will enable them to gain valuable work experience with the support of a job coach and have the opportunity to take part in a range of roles to see which is right for them. The time at College will allow for the development of English and maths skills as well as key employability skills such as communication, time management, confidence and independent living.
Learners will attend 1 day in College (STAC or Camborne) and 4 days on work placement at Cornwall Council in Truro or Bodmin.
Set at the top of St Austell, with incredible views over the bay, our campus boasts ground-breaking facilities and exceptional student spaces. The Keay Theatre area plays host to our famous Altitude Dance Academy and performing arts, while our award-winning student restaurant Cloisters is recognised as one of the best in the country. Brand new electric vehicle training labs set within our modern construction and engineering buildings showcase just some of the incredible opportunities for people in St Austell and beyond.
