Plumbing Courses The level 3 Site Carpentry qualification are for learners who are interested in developing the specific technical and professional skills that can lead to meaningful employment in the construction industry as a site carpenter.

This qualification will also open doors to employment across the world in place such as Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
You will also be able to access university courses on completion of this course as past leaners have gone on to become site managers, project managers and Architects.

An advanced site carpenter will normally work on a building site, or in domestic or commercial premises ,preparing and installing complex and often bespoke building components e.g double doors, shaped linings, staircases with turns ,complex wall and floor units, erecting bespoke structural roof structures(e.g hip roofs valleys and dormer roofs. This course is designed for the carpenter who has completed a level 2 and wants to progress their skills to a higher level.

The course also involves aspects of management of sustainability and also management of work, allowing the trainee to develop into a person who can undertake work without assistance from a mentor.

Level 2 site carpentry diploma or L2 site carpentry Apprenticeship

You will need to have an employer who can provide you with the range of activities that are addressed in the course to enable you to practice the skills you are being taught in college and are detailed for a Level 3 carpenter.

You will be assessed when you are ready by means of end point assessment, this will be by an assessor from the awarding body (city & guilds) this will involve collecting a portfolio of work that you have undertaken over the period of the apprenticeship, this will be used as a basis for a discussion with the assessor.

Successful candidates can progress onto a range of opportunities within the construction industry and further levels of attainment such as BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment. Learners can also choose to become self-employed, start their own contracting companies or carry on to Higher education and university
