Cookery alumni shines on national TV

Charlie Walters who studied professional cookery at The Cornwall College Group (TCCG), has reached the semi-finals of BBC One’s MasterChef the Professionals.

Showcasing his culinary expertise with a tribute to Cornwall left the judges in awe, and secured him a spot to the next stage of the competition.

In a thrilling culinary contest, 32 skilled chefs compete for glory, with only 8 earning coveted spots in the semi-finals.

Charlie’s journey in the culinary world began with training at Cornwall College, followed by roles at esteemed establishments such as The Elephant and The Mariners by Paul Ainsworth.

Currently, he graces the kitchen of The Sardine Factory in Looe, where he continues to elevate the local culinary scene.

As the community rallies behind its homegrown talent, anticipation builds for the upcoming MasterChef: The Professionals semi-finals, where Charlie Walters is set to further showcase his culinary artistry.
