National Trust helps students discover Cornwall
The Cornwall College Group (TCCG) has teamed up with National Trust, to provide students with free access and transport to some of Cornwall’s most beautiful locations.
Learners from Cornwall College Camborne and Duchy College Rosewarne will benefit from outdoor learning experience, visit educational gardens, historical landmarks, and coastal areas.
Students will have the chance to explore Cornwall’s unique landscape and history, while learning about conservation and importance of preserving natural habitats.
Luke Bazeley, Head of Campus for Cornwall College Camborne and Duchy College Rosewarne, said this is a chance to “add something special to our students’ experience, from Cape Cornwall, to Lanhydrock.”
“We’re thrilled to team up with the National Trust and provide our students with free access/transport to some of Cornwall’s most breath-taking heritage sites, this collaboration aligns with our vision to inspire them to appreciate and protect Cornwall’s environment for future generations.” Luke added.
A student studying Travel and Tourism took part in the trip, and said visiting Lanhydrock was “fun and exciting.”
“I had an amazing time being outside, exploring the historical house and gardens, and learning about the conservation efforts, it was a great day out, good for mental-wellbeing as well as educational.”
Trips have already been running under the initiative, and will continue for the next five months.
