Students shine as college posts best results in years!

Students across The Cornwall College Group (TCCG) are celebrating one of the most successful years of academic achievements in the history of the group.

An impressive 39 of the College’s Level 3 courses achieved a perfect pass rate, highlighting the exceptional performance of students across a wide range of disciplines.

These included Agriculture, Animal Management, Art & Design, Engineering Technologies, Equine, Esports, Professional Cookery, Sport, and Uniformed Services.

Principal and Chief Executive of The Cornwall College Group, Rob Bosworth, expressed pride in the achievements.

“These fantastic results across so many subjects reflect not just the our incredible students, but also the years of dedication and commitment of our amazing staff. It shows that the students right across the Group are receiving the very best education and skills training in the country.”

Additionally, the Group, which not only includes Bicton College, but also University Centres in Newquay and at the Eden Project,  has seen a boost in overall achievement levels across the board, reflecting its commitment to high-quality education at all levels.

Chair of Governors Patrick Newberry said the results come at an exciting time for the College, which has recently announced c. £90 million investment across its campuses.

“The Board would like to add their congratulations to the students and staff. We are deeply committed to investing in new and improved facilities for all our students. In addition to the creation of the first carbon-neutral college in St Austell, the investment will also improve facilities across all campuses, providing state-of-the-art resources and ensuring students have access to top-quality education and training opportunities, further supporting the local community and economy,”.

“Anyone thinking about their next steps in education or how they can progress in their careers should visit our website, give us a call, or pop into one of our advice sessions,” Rob added.
