Lifelong learning
Skills Bootcamps are a suite of high-quality courses created to support adults aged 19+ to gain essential knowledge and skills.
*Skills Bootcamps are free to those who are unemployed, employed (looking to change career), and self-employed. Skills Bootcamps can be co-funded by employers to enable upskilling of employees. Thanks to funding from the Department for Education, SME employers pay just 10% (£291) and large organisations 30% (£873).
Please note: applicants must be resident in Devon or Cornwall to be eligible for the course.

- Duration – 3 weeks at 2 days per week | Part-time

Creating opportunities across Cornwall & Devon
Skills Bootcamps offer free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks. They are available for adults aged 19 or over who are either in work, self-employed, or recently unemployed and live in England. Some Skills Bootcamps have additional eligibility criteria.
A Bricklaying Skills Bootcamp delivered in partnership with Keir Construction will start in late October 2022. Please check back soon to apply online or email skillsbootcamps@cornwall.ac.uk for more information.
They give people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.
Skills Bootcamps are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. Skills Bootcamps in Devon and Cornwall are led by Devon County Council and funded by the Department of Education.
